Got the rest of the laundry done this morning and did a maintenance job on herself's hair.  By then it was near lunchtime. We repeated the walk along the river in the opposite direction just to see if we missed anything and to get a little exercise.  Finally got a bird picture.  It's a Red-bellied Woodpecker, common in the eastern United States, but new to us.  The walk takes just over an hour and is pleasant, in and out of the sun and level.  Level at eleven feet of altitude makes it pretty easy for a pair of Sidehill Gougers such as we.  Not much altitude here, not counting the power poles and such.

As far as my clothes fit, Bina has the best reason, IMHO.  She'll win the prize, to be named at a later date.

Later, we rode in to Westlake, which is only about six miles from here.  Lynnie got her hair cut and we filled up the Soob' with petrol.  Gas down here is up to $3.29.9 a gallon.  The national average, I've read is $3.25.9.  It's strange though, since we've passed a few operating oil wells and a few refineries. One would think that the price would be a bit lower.  Thanks to all of you working and helping out Social Security, we're getting by fine.  Thanks for sure...

It got up to near seventy-five degrees today with a few clouds.  Nice climate here.  Humidity is low and very little wind.  We really hate to leave this place.  The Campground is beautiful with great facilities and the neighbors are great, friendly and full of information.  The Cajun accent is easily understood and musical in it's own way. We'll head out tomorrow for Saint Martinsville, LA.  Here's a chance Gabe to use your map reading skills.  You did so well with "nefarious" that this is another chance to impress Mom...

Thanks for stopping by and checking in.  It's getting a bit lonely now, so we'd appreciate an email, text or a phone call.  Best time is about nine in the morning or after dinner, seven or so in the evening.  We're an hour ahead of most of you folks, in the Central Time Zone, so take that into account.  Love you all from the Bayous of Louisiana.
