...there's wifi!  Can you imagine that?  We drove over two-hundred miles today, with Lynnie taking Shorty's wheel for about half and hour.  A long trip through rolling hills that speak of desolation.  The largest town we went through was only eight hundred and three people.  The smallest, Langtry, has only thirty.  This is the country of Judge Roy Bean.  There's a museum nearby, which we hope to visit.

It's finally hot here.  It's about 75˚ inside with the AC running.  It takes a while to cool things down or warm them up in Shorty.  Not much insulation, as I've said before.  A nice breeze is about, which helps to cool things down a bit.  The canyon itself can be seen only with a guide.  Unfortunately, the guides are off work until Wednesday, the day we leave.  We'll see on that problem...

I only have a couple of photos from today, but I haven't had many accolades about them for quite a while, so I'm not sure if any of you are checking them out.  We'll be here until Wednesday and then on through Del Rio, Texas and on to Castroville, which is about thirty miles from San Antonio.

It's still a bit strange not to have any cell coverage and yet to be able to get onto the internet.  We'll keep you informed as best we can and answer all calls and texts when we get back to so-called civilization.  Most of the folks here are Texans, so we're a bit unique.  They are all very friendly and that's what it's all about... take care, y'all...
