El Paso is nearly sixty miles south from where we are. I-25 was still a bit icy and the traffic was heavier, but the trip went fine. Only saw a few "fine individuals" enroute. It warmed some down there, getting up to the mid-twenties. The store is quite a bit different than in Helena, with more variety and products we had never seen. I picked up an external HD to back up the Mac in case I have any problems during the tour. Lots of chaos as we left the city with even more "fine individuals" showing up. Texans seem to want to check out our bumperstickers and license plate more closely than in other states we've visited.
Lynnie took a few photos on our way back, while I drove. I'll add them so you can get some sense of the area around El Paso. We relied on the Droid Navigation to come back. It must have been programmed by a "fine individual" also, since we ended up in a small park in Las Cruces on the first try and at a Motel on the second one. I finally used the Camp and RV application to direct us home. The water is still frozen as well as the main pump in the pump house. We shall prevail however, since we are prepared. All of the photos in this entry are Lynnie's with a bit of work by me editing.
Tomorrow we'll return to the newly opened city of Las Cruces and try to find some to the places that were closed when we visited yesterday.
I decided, just in case, not to go on and on about how warm it is here on our trip. Just never know if that was what jinxed us. ;0)
