Arrived in Gran canaria at 02am and even there my bottle of water didnt show up on the x-ray scans.. I lay down for a nap and in the morning book a ticket with islas airways back to Tenerife north. Binter is way more expensive and i have to pay more as i don't have my residencia on me..

My good buddy and photography mentor, Mike Bolognesi picks me up from the airport. His first reaction was pretty shocking!  i had lost a great deal of weight.

It was very odd being back, everything was almost robotic.. i'd go buy something and everything is a fixed price or automatic. I had to get used to civilization again. It was far worse than i expected..
My stomach had also shrunk, i ordered a steak that same night but couldn't even eat half of it. The next day i had diarrhea again but because i wasn't used to western food anymore.

The trip had been demanding but certainly an incredible experience and thank Jay for taking me with him. I would repeat it again without thinking twice. It was a pure adventure, totally unprepared and seeing how we got through was part of the daily tour.

Im in the cold winter now and did some unexpected travelling. Lets see what the future holds..

Read nearly all of this blog. really enjoyed it. Great photographs. Just makes me want to go traveling. Its amazing how you forget all the terrible hassle and low points and just want to get back out there again. You've definitely inspired me to do a blog
