Got up real early this time like 7:30 but had a good nights sleep. Went downstairs for a shower by reception and luckily the water heater was on. I got my stuff ready and pretty much updated the blog like i do every morning! Since Jay wakes up at 11am it gives me some time..

Once Jay was up breakfast was kind of skipped once again although i did have a muesli bar, not quite enough but will have to do. We bump into Mohamed, the wee receptionist and manage to give up some washing at last! they ask for 50Dh for both of our clothes but again, we close a good deal at 35Dh (3.10eur / 2.60quid).

We head off to the car park with the intention to go to the beach for a few hours and get some food. Next to the Medina, in the main square we have some mint tea with Brahim. After a session of examining Jays cheap photographic filters and classifying most as useless we discover the mint tea is ridiculously expensive. We head off towards the mechanics and nearby  there is another group of local restaurants. We inquire in a few, observed by the locals who probably haven't seen a tourist in this area in a long time. Most don't speak french, only arabic. We order a delicious beef Tajine, this time with the proper Moroccan casserole. Fresh food at its finest.

Back to the mechanics they are already well underway. We explain a minimum 10 times how to remove solder points on the chassis the easy and quick way but Mohamed is stubborn as a mule and refuses to do so as it minimizes quality in his opinion. He is helped by Thaicock, his eager assistant who briefly starred in our homemade video! We then go a few doors down to get a tyre changed and next door to get one of the spare tires repaired as it has a small gash in it. It takes longer than we thought so we head off. We pass a fruit n veg market and stop off for some grapes, bananas and some exotic fruit Ive forgotten the name of. The vendor invites us to try some banana before purchasing and its ridiculously delicious and fresh, not to mention cheap! The grapes are so sweet they are too sweet for my taste and grapes aren't really my thing. However i scoff them hastily as they taste like nothing Ive ever tasted!

Afterwards we meetup with Brahim again who wants to introduce us to some potential buyers again. More time wasted.. so we head off to the looooong and at this time of day empty beach.
We drive onto the beach and just park up in the middle of the vast stretch of sand. the liberty of things here feels so good.  Jay goes for a long run while i amuse myself with my camera in the sand dunes. I get lucky and see some  wild Camels in the distance. I have to sneak up to them as they are very shy. Using my camera screen as a periscope i catch a few shots. Once my head pops up in full view they run off!

Back to the Jeep and Jay decides for a freestyle drive on the beach and he gets on the back driven by myself. Its great fun and we get into soft sand. I switch to 4x4 and try to get the hang of it all again as i havent done any 4x4 driving since my Army days about 8 years ago. Its Jays turn to drive and i get on the back for a mad roller-coast of a ride. I do plenty of filming and he takes me right till the main road. At one point its so bumpy i almost fall off!

We meetup with Brahim back at the main square for ages to go to the Hamman, an arabic sauna. Im very excited to go as its a perfect way to experience local things, a main point of the whole trip. We are led through a variety of mazes in the old medina and when we finally arrive we find out its the womens turn for this sauna. There is a plaque outside stating that orson wells visited this place and a few other characters. Off to the next one through more tight mazes. We pay 20Dh for 2 massages and another 20Dh to get in, not bad! Inside, a severely cross-eyed old man commences to massage and rub down Jay while me and Brahim get some buckets of hot and cold water to use on ourselves. After a good wait its my turn and i lie on the floor while this old man stretches and scrubs all my limbs. He uses a bit of fish net with a small, square soap bar wrapped inside as an efficient way to exfoliate and scrub! Im totally relaxed after the intense session and need a few buckets of cold water to liven me up.

Totally refreshed we head back to the hotel but walk slowly like wandering on a cloud after the relaxing Hamman session. We get changed and pickup our washing. Back to the streets for some food. This time its some shawarma, mixed kebab and some nutella crepes. Hit the bed while Jay watches Sherlock holmes on his laptop
