Got up early after a bit of a noisy night cos theres an extractor fan in the yard till late. went into town to my bank and on the way found a stand selling "churros", classic spanish deep fried pastry. Had that for breakfast and hand washed some clothes again. Waited for Jay to wake up and made our way for the yard. As i expected they were far from ready. They had agreed to dismantle the parts.. We have barely 2 hours left and make a huge effort. Jay concentrates under the bonnet while i get a drill and try to get rid of the solder points on all the parts under the dashboard. Im glad i im not a newbie with a drill and progress is good. Ivan the Spanish bear from the yard helps us and we only just finish when they close.

It has been quite demanding under the blazing heat and after the long run yesterday im knackered. Its been a long week and finally we can have some rest over the weekend. We back to the hostel and i have some well-deserved solomillo (steak) in whisky, some local dish. Up to the air-conditioned room and chill-out both ways.

At about 8pm me and Jay decide to go the field we went for a run yesterday to attempt some good photos of the sunset. It turns out the colours were no where near as good as the previous day. Nonetheless i manage to teach Jay a few basic things and to his joy he experiments a bit with his camera and gets some excellent results. impressive!

We go the the hostel restaurant for something to eat. Its Saturday night and the place becomes Jam packed! We cant even pay the bill so we have an ice-cream next door.

Was pestered during the night by a very annoying mosquito so woke early after a restless night and found the bugger, squished him with lots of my blood splurting over the wall. Revenge is sweet! Theres lots more of those annoying creatures in Africa..

Had a lazy morning as its sunday and chill-out day after a hand full of a week. Hand-washed some more clothes for the trip ahead. Had lunch at the restaurant downstairs and before that i went for a quick walk around town. Every shop was closed as expected. I saw an army of old people in wheelchairs so decided to take a sneaky shot with my camera holding it normally in my hand while walking only to find that it was in playback mode instead of taking the shot. Very annoyed! it happened twice...

Formula 1 was on during lunch and to Jays dismay hamilton was out in the first 10 seconds plus i ordered a meal that was twice the size but only slightly more expensive as his.. Alonso won the race.

Back upstairs i have a nap and wake up groggy. We have supper at the restaurant downstairs and Jay has a quick go with some photography with some advice i gave him yesterday. Very pleased with his shot! We plan for next day as we have to get up quite early
