. We only just manage to close a deal but its Friday and with no time left we have to come back Monday morning and strip the car ourselves with some help from the staff. I notice there's a lot fires in the fields.
We then speed off to los cuervos about 50km away to the next yard. Same thing happens. Very expensive and lots of negotiating. The one good thing is that they're open on Saturday and that they will strip the parts for us. All at the same price as the first place. Finally we search for a place to stay and get lucky in los cuervos town in an internet cafe. A cheap hostel (finally!) with our own rooms, showers and internet access! We both go for a long run in the fields outside the small town even though were starving! We eat some nice food at the bar downstairs and have a little walk through town. Not much going on..
Back at the hostel i find out that in Arganda del Rey there is a fiesta which we knew about but i didnt know that there was a "encierre de Toros" which means a bull run! Im really dissapointed to have missed out on a Spanish tradition. Simply cos its exciting and who knows how long this practise will be legal.
Woke up groggy and had breakfast on the car bonnets again, Alpen muesli and Tesco British milk. Went to refuel outside of Sevilla and decided to head off to the next yard. Very difficult to find as theyre always in some industrial estate and on some national road at KM 612 for example. Pretty much useless information for our TomTom Satellite navigation systems. We get lost once again and cross the big bridge over the Guadalquivir, the river in Sevilla. Head back and finally make it to the next breakers yard. Much to our dismay they want an extortionate price for all the parts.. we spend ages trying to make a deal but no luck. Its closing time so we head off to the town of dos hermanas for some lunch to come back later. We find a nice Spanish bar and order some tapas. I notice theyve got internet but only Jay can access as i find out that my laptop battery is dead somehow. While there Jay tries to call on Skype but being a very noisy bar as usual is impossible so he has to go outside. Back at 4pm to the yard and negotiation continues
