My memory of Kandy is still of one of the most charming towns I'd ever visited. Magnificent botanical gardens, elephant parade when celebrating Buddha feasts.

In Sri Lanka I tasted the most fiery curries ever.

Went to Neuaralia, another Raj hill station, tea plantations, temperate vegetable farms, Climbed Mount Adam about 7000 ft. sacred to at least four religions. AT the summit is an impression in the rock that uncannily resembles a footprint about half a meter long. Jews claim it's Adams foot, Buddhists, Buddha's, Christians, Christ's, and finally Muslims, Mohammad's. Great views. No photos sadly.
