Bumburet [Kalash Valley]

White-water nullah;
Fertile fields with walnut trees;
Pine flank'd snow top'd hills.

Dec 80 Think we got a flight from R'pindi to Chitral definitely got one returning Chitral to Peshawar. My RNAC crew card came in handy. I flew in cockpit, Waters as passenger but both free.

Visit to Chitral was another high point. From here we visited Bumberet in the Kalash Valley. The Kalash people are an indigenous group who have never converted to Isalm and are hence considered infidels. There was no sign that they were persecuted or disrespected in any way. They have very colorful ways and costumes, particularly the females' head dresses made from cowrie shells.
