Leave Belgra 22:210 by train Arrive Sofia about 7 AM more than hour late. Delightful conversatin with three Paris sFrench students and English chem doctoral candidate. Fitful sleep. Put pack in left luggage and never really left large train station.

17:00 train to Thessalonica with reservation.l Share 6 seats compartment with couple Australian girl, French man, Greek man, girl half Greek, Bulgarian and her aunt. Considerable conversation till time to doze off.

Problems at Slonica getting on 1:50 AM train to Athens. Finally manage it. Many 2nd class seats available. Arrive early morning with not a clue where to stay.
