Rite so been a while since ive written... connection timed out the last time before id saved my entry so it didnt get put onto my blog site.. Pain in the a*s but neway!
Im now in vic falls.. Its amazing, but im a bit grounded and can do fuk all.. Thou i did fly in a World War 2 Tigermoth yesterday over the falls etc which was pretty kewl! Got theear muffs and traditional goggles and all to wear! :D
Neway.. reason im grounded is that i got a worm in my foot.. Well, its more than one worm (its also now in both feet - right foot being worse thou). Picked it up somewhere on zanzibar or lake malawi - i reckon zanzibar thou coz my flipflops got nicked there and id no footwear for about 2 or 3 days (Yea can you imagine someone nicking flip flops in the 1st place?
01. Foot - base
! They cost less than a fukn dollar neway!! :o Neway.. foots all swollen the past couplea days and kinda infected now.. It looks mankey to be honest! But the lads (tour leader and driver) have been really good...
When i 1st noticed it, they gave me medicine frm the truck to take.. Went to chemist then but they didnt have what i needed there.. told me to try bathing it in Ice water fro an hr or whatever.. so when we got to camp and had dinner they got me ice and i sat there afor a cupla hours and bathed it.. Didnt quite work thou, the worm wiggled into tme other foot! Dont thnk it liked the cold!
So then next day we were heading for another campsite and the lads stopped and brought me to a hospital (mental place) and the staff there skipped me past everyone in the queue - why.. because im white! :O couldnt believe that, was a bit weird!! Anyway.. got consultation and tablets all for about eeeeeh, 5 or 13 dollars? Cant rmember which but CHEAP AS!! Wouldnt get that back home! But it didnt work too well despite all taht!
So then the next day we were on way to another campsite.
02. Foot - side
. The lads were checkn out something with a campsite they hadnt used before... A fewa us hopped out to use the jaxs.. Foot was then sore to walk on!! Driver noticed and next thing i know theyve brought me to a 24hour medical centure in llongwe or lusacka it mitea been?! :o Got 2 sets of pills and a cream to use.. 1a the girls on the trip is a medical sumthn - gonna be a chemist so shes been really gud explaining what everything is to me..
The stuff started to seem to kill the worm but feet were still swelling and infection a bit dodge, so was brought to another place here in vic falls yest.. got stronger stuff to kill the infection and more stuff to kill the worm and a new wash solution.. So think this stuff mite just work!! Fingers crossed anway!!
Did go out last nite / yesterday thou.. a loada us went to a game resturant last nite.. Warthog and Imala are the nicest meats ive ever eaten.. Theyre so tasty, cant even describe them!! Also ate a worm & got a certificate 4 it! Only some small local one but was funny!! Tried ostrich & buffalo as well i think but they wernt that amazing... it was a buffet meal and i ablsolutely stuffed myeslf..!
03. Foot Side Angle
! There was dancing and drum playn after and they got us all to play traditional african drums.. was a great laugh and would defo recommend that place to anyone coming here.. only cost around 14 dollars for the nite and included starter, main, desert, tea/coffee - as much as u wanted of anything!! & of course the entertainment.. dancers and drum players etc!! Gonna have to go soon to get some food coz ive been up since 8 (too used to getting up early now to sleep in - thou 8 is kinda late to be getting up over here.. past few mornings its been around 5.30 - 6.30!) neway.. am very hungry now.. think im gonna hit a little resturant for some chow and finish with some pancakes and icecream.. (Suprisingly rare over here to get! - Ice Cream that is! Thou have seen it in a few places since yesterday so hopefully is easier to get the further south you go!)
