Skimming through Stonetown

I managed to pick myself up a pair of flipflops here.. and to get my feet really dirty! Walked around the small streets (like mini mazes) of stonetown looking for the markets.. and the way back to the place we were staying at for about 2 hours.. and 2 hours there with nothing on your feet leads to a lot of dirt! :P
That evening we went out for a meal at a restaurant with a gift view for sunset. Had a couplea drinks there before heading back to the town centre for the night markets! Which were good fun.. and was i think the first time id gotten chocolate / banana pancakes! Well nice!! :-) Also Stonetown was onea the 1st places we got ice-cream from for aaages, so that was a big thumbs up

! The next day we went out to barter with the locals in the shops... Had a good laugh doing that and Ceri, Dave and Carina and I wandered around the streets having a gander at different places and that kinda jazz. They took the piss outa me telling me i'd get stoned for wearing sleeveless and stomachless top.. which never happened and to this day i dont know if they made it up or if i just didnt listen to jade before that!
When we were waiting to get the ferry back to Dar El Saalam we got delayed.. sat in a bar / hotel down the road from the ferry and had something to eat.. reason for delay was that the President of Tanzania was coming over for a visit! So saw loadsa ppl dressed in countries colours and dancing and that for his arrival! So just after he paraded down the street in fronta us we wandered up to the ferry terminal and jumped on for a bumpy ride back to Tanzania!
