Sydney!

Now am writing to you from Sydney!  Arrived yesterday after my nice 11hr flight.  No, it really was nice, Qantas are great...we had so many movies I didn't go to sleep and got square eyes, and they kept coming round with chardonnay, ice cream, loads of food and hot chocolate. was ace.  I had a nice window seat so got a good view coming in, and we arrived only half an hour late.  After running aroudn the airport with my bag trying to find out how to get to King's Cross I made it onto the undergraound and to the right area and hostel.  We are staying at a place called sydney star tonight and yesterday, which is nice, with a twin room and ensuite (luxury!) then it's off to 10-bed dorms tomorrow!

Katy arrived at about 8pm, and after a breif catch up (haven't seen her for over a year) we went to get some food and then were both knackered after our flying so had an early night.

Today we had a sleep in til 11.30- the latest i've slept for 3 months, then went for a wanmder round the ahrbour and the shops and took lots of pics and investigated different things to do.  unfortunately it's raining now, grrr, but we're going to head out tonight and investigate the local nightlife.  the bar across from the hostel looks good anyway!

After our budget tea of pasta (i fear there may be a lot of that in weeks to come!) we've been trying to book a tour round the oopera house online as it's way cheaper than doing it there, and the internet is against us today.  ALong with my bank card (which isn;t working despite activating it last night ) and vodafone (which won't let me register my new sim card).  Better luck tomorrow hopefully!
