Today was one of our first real game drives through nakuru national park.  The day did not start well.  We had tog et up at 5am, but unfortunately i was up all night from 2 onwqrds bringinf my boots up, which was lovely.  I blame the australians who made us play this crazy drinking game the night before.  Grr.  Anyway there was no way it was only down to that, because I was properly properly ill, coudlnt even keep water down.  So that was a really good start to the day.  Managed to drag myself onto the bus, and later on forced down a banana which seemed to help.  By lunch time i was feeling much better and even managed some tea on the way back.  Anyway, enough of my stomach issues.

The game drive was great.  We saw so much wildlife.  here goes: Giraffe, white monkey, baboon, white and black rhino, jackal, hyena, zebra (one of my faves) , buffalo, water buck, flamingo, impala, gazelle, antelope, loads of pretty birds, ostrich, probably otehrs that i've forgotten.  I tried to limit myself with crazy photo taking, but angela managed to take 500 in one day! unfortunately we didnt see any lion of leopard, despite driving around for 2 hours at the end of the day trying to find them, but the day was great, and the scenery was absolutely stunning.  At one point we dri\ove up to a view point above the lake and it was the most amazing view i have ever seen.

The monkeys there are cheeky though....before we even got into the park a little minx had leapt into the bus whilst i was at the loo, helped himself to my sandwiches, then thrown the tin foil back into the van after he finished! how rude! at least i wasnt hungry anyway so it didn't matter!
