Dec 22, 05 to Jan 6, 06

If I didn't tell you, I decided to go home for the holidays. I was home for two weeks and saw many friends and family. I was extremely excited to come home. I think my favorite thing was walking through the doors of the arrivals in the airport and seeing my mom, Kazuno, and my brother; even though he had a welcome sign that said "WElcome Back Geek." He is an excellent older brother!

Christmas time was filled with lots of emotion. My whole family spent New Year's Eve together at a Japanese Restaurant (not my choice) having a great dinner and Karaoke. It was a great memory.

I was able to get up to E.L. and have lunch with some friends and my old roommate. The campus felt small. I guess since I've moved on to Tokyo, anything else would seem small. It was nice to be back though. Good memories. I also made it to Detroit to go swing dancing! And went down to Chicago for the day to see the sights and see Robin's apartment.

As all good things, must come to an end; it was time to go home. It was hard to leave again. Oddly, as I was walking to the gate, while drying my eyes, I recognized a fellow JET. Makenzie, a JEt in Kanagawa, was on the same plane. She is from Nebraska. Her flight was delayed from the day before, so we ended up on the same flight. It was great to talk to her cause it took my mind of the fact that I was leaving home again.

The flight was nice. Didn't seem as long as last time. I slept a lot. Makenzie and I met up in Narita airport and had to find an atm to get cash for the ride home. Always something.

If I didn't get to see you over the holidays, I apologize. There are only so many days. Happy New YEar. And see you all soon.
