We made excellent time to Gran Canaria, pulling into the marina at 9:00 am around 21 hours of travel. We had sunshine and after the first three hours, steady 8-10 knots of wind which pushed us along at around 5 knots. It was a very pleasant sail.
Chris and I did our "walkabout" after we got the boat secured and ended up at the beach which is noted for good surf. Not today. We did see lots of sun bathers as we strolled along the walkway. Some wearing not quite enough for my comfort...

It is very hard to remember that it is almost Christmas this year. Besides the days blending into one, the months have almost done that as well. When we pulled into the marina this time, Jeanne and I could have sworn that it was Monday. Chris was right when he said it was Sunday. We had to ask someone on the dock to be sure. Every once in a while we will see some holiday decorations and remember, but it certainly is different without the hubbub of shopping, music practice and decorating. All we have here is sailing, sun and relaxation. Bah humbug.

We would really love to hear from you and will reply to personal messages when we have internet access.

Chris and I want to wish each of you a blessed and happy Christmas and we promise to keep in touch during the New Year.
