I slept for only 45 minutes between the time I finished packing and the time that I had to wake up to shower. Vicki picked me up at 4:30am and we got to the airport with plenty of time to lounge in the lounge. Too much time apparently since we somehow lost track of time and ended up running to make our flight out of San Diego. Good times. Needless to say we were at the gate early for our other two flights. You know, the 14 hour and 17 minute long flight from SF to Hong Kong and then the almost two hour flight from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City. Even at 11 at night there were tons of people driving around on moped, bikes and cars. There was a family of three on the moped next to us at one point.
The problem is that it's dark and we couldn't see much. Not sleeping more than a few hours on the planes didn't help matters either. As soon as our friends arrive we're heading to bed so we can wake up for our of the city in the morning. Can't wait. Our adventures have officially begun.
