I think that I was up until about 03:00 the night before, so as soon as I got back into the car I fell asleep...and pretty much didn't get up until we were driving through downtown Milwaukee.  The first thing we did was stop by the CCSD on campus to pick up my laptop.  Unfortunately, MSOE wasn't prepared (like always) and didn't have a computer ready for me.  This was very frustrating since I had sent numerous emails and made several phone calls all indicating the same thing, "there would be a computer ready for me whenever I could pick one up." So much for that.  After a whole bunch of complaining on my part and some negotiating on Dad's part we ended up with a gift card for a restaurant visit, an extra battery for my old computer, and a reimbursement for our hotel visit.  Picking up my computer was the main reason that we had to have an eloquently planned departure including a whole day spent in Milwaukee.

The trip was still very much worth it.  I got to visit with a handful of my good friends at MSOE for the day.  I met up with Shea right away and we ended up going to visit Josh and Ben in the dorms (I made sure to make them try the Chinese pastries that Shuling had given me the night before!). After getting to visit with Josh and some of the other folks from my floor last year we left the dorm and Shea, Ben and I met up with Karli who we spent the remaining part of the day with.  We hung out at the hotel room for a while and were thinking about going back to the girls' apartment to hang out, but thanks to my parents being really friendly, we just stayed in the hotel room, ate some pizza and drank some beer/malted drinks.  It was a fun evening and by the end of the evening I was really glad that I had that extra day to spend relaxing with my friends in Milwaukee and my parents before I left.
