Zion Canyon Nat'l Park - another amaZing day trip!

The Hebrew word "Zion" means sanctuary, and the enormous peaks within the park carry biblical names as well - the Great White Throne, Court of Patriarchs, the West Temple, Angels Landing - evoking a feeling of awe, much like being in the most grand of cathedrals.
Another unbelievably gorgeous, summer-like day, so we put the top down on the convertible and headed out to Zion Canyon National Park. Since Greg qualified for the "American the Beautiful" Lifetime National Park Pass on his 62nd birthday in June, we've been taking full advantage of our free access to National Parks. (We also went to a number of them in April, May, and June before qualifying for this great benefit!). Even the drive to Zion was breathtaking - with wild contrasts in landscapes within a very small viewpoint - craggy, rocky points, right next to absolute straight-line mesas and plateaus.
