Am making this entry as we're on the road heading for Yosemite - word is that we'll likely be without a signal while we're in the Yosemite area for the next week, so thought I'd get the map pin placed while I could! So mich to write and so many photos to share - so little time to get it done!!

Adding to this on Saturday, May 5th, while working online for a few minutes in the lodge at our campground...this wi-fi signal is the only signal we can get out here, but we've been VERY busy, touring Yosemite whenever it hasn't been raining (and one day, when it was!). What a BEAUTIFUL, POWERFUL place Yosemite is. I've taken over 600 photos in 3 days of touring. Will upload a "teaser" or two if this signal can handle it - otherwise - maybe next week!

Regarding Yosemite Lakes RV Park/CG
Hi! We camped in our motorhome at Yosemite Lakes last year - in late April or early May of '07. We are Thousand Trails members, so we stayed on the Thousand Trails side of this RV Park - this is one of the few TT Preserves that also has a public campground side. It was quite nice, with roomy sites, as I remember it - unfortunately, my program in which I write notes with details about campgrounds did not save last year, but I do remember that I could only get online by going into the lodge - I usually can use my aircard from inside our RV, but had to settle for the free wi-fi in the lodge there. There was NOT much else to do, other than Yosemite, but it was also still early in the season there (we actually saw Yosemite one day in the sun - one day in the rain, and one day in the snow!). I believe they had canoes and boats to rent at the campground, but it was still too cold when we were there. The public laundry just outside the gate of the campground was the only laundry room they had at that time, but it was fine. The lodge was big, and had just been opened up, so it smelled a bit musty - but it really seemed like a lovely, relaxing, beautiful spot. BTW, we're not big hikers or backpackers or anything - but early in the year, Yosemite is wonderful for driving and stopping at the overlooks -not crowded at all. Not sure what it would be like at this time of year...but what's not to love about gorgeous mountains and waterfalls?
Happy Travels!
