After four cold, damp, windy days in the "Valley" at 3500', we moved down to the Desert in search of warmer weather.  It has been somewhat warmer during the days, but got down into the mid-30's again most of the nights we've been here.  Last night, the temp stayed a bit warmer, but we had wind gusts of 60 mph that kept the house rockin' and rollin' all night long!

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day at old friends' Chris & Mike's house, about 45 minutes from here, and yesterday we had our own little Thanksgiving dinner, cooking a turkey with all the trimmings so that Greg could have his much-loved leftovers for lunch and dinner for a few days!

Thanksgiving brought back an awful lot of memories of past years, which we often spent with Mom, and before 2002, with Dad, as well, sharing Thanksgiving and Mom's birthday with them and with many of our friends.  Two years ago, of course, we celebrated Mom's 90th on Thanksgiving Day at Jill's house, and then had a big party on the Saturday there in Ann Arbor.  Good times - good memories.  Hard to believe she's been gone nine months already.

We're moving from this membership park (it's part of our Resorts of Distinction membership) tomorrow, going to our Thousand Trails Palm Springs Preserve (which is actually in Palm Desert)!  We'll be staying there three weeks.
