Strawberry Festival and Crystal Gale Concert!

Have gotten WAAY behind on postings and updates, so won't write a whole lot...just want to make note of the World Famous Plant City Florida Strawberry Festival...a week-long, state fair-type event, with big-name concerts day and night, and multiple tents serving up make-it yourself Strawberry Shortcakes, Strawberry Sundaes, Milk Shakes, etc. We almost left without even having any strawberry-related treats, as the lines were never-ending, and we didn't want to wait that long - but after the Crystal Gale Concert, I found a tent sponsored by the Historical Society, where you didn't make your own strawberry shortcake, but they made nice big ones for $3.50 each, so I did manage to get my fix.
While we were waiting for the start time for the Crystal Gale concert, we stopped in on one of the free sound stages to be entertained by an acoustic/stomp/mostly a capella group called "Vocal Trash". The link will take you to a YouTube video of them performing. They reallyl are SO full of energy and talent - if you ever have an opportunity to see them, be sure you do!
The Crystal Gale Concert started promptly at 3, and we were happy to find that her voice is every bit as "Crystal" clear as it always was, and her hair is longer than it's always been! One of her talented sisters (not Loretta Lynn) sang backup with her - she was great, too! More thumbnails ...
