Saturday, December 15th, our only port day on the cruise was in Cozumel, Mexico, where I had arranged for us to have a "Dolphin Encounter" and do a little bit of snorkeling at Chankanaab National Park (basically an underwater park!).

Our Dolphin Enounter was about a half hour long, and was not swimming with the dolphins, but rather, petting, "high-five-ing", and getting a kiss from the dolphin .  They do not allow guests to take photographs of the encounter, but they have a professional photographer there who takes pictures - which they sell at $30 apiece!  We decided that our own memories of the event would be good enough, without overspending on photos, so you'll have to use your imagination to picture that event!

Afterwards, we had a little lunch by the beach,

watched their sea lion show,

and then rented snorkeling equipment

and walked into the water to head towards the "underwater sculptures" where the fish hang out.   We didn't stay in the water too long, nor did we go too far, so we really didn't see that many fish, but it was fun, anyhow.

We hopped back on the shuttle bus, once we'd dried off sufficiently, and they dropped us off by the pier, which we wandered through, saw all the t-shirt and souvenir  stores, and got back on board the ship in time to enjoy some relaxation time before dinner!

Another great day on our Christmas cruise!
