This will be a short entry, as we want to get pictures posted and a little bit written before possibly losing our Verizon Aircard signal, which there's a good chance of doing, as we're on the move right now.
On Saturday, April 1st (no, this isn't an April Fool's joke) we met up with Greg's Cousin Catherine and her husband Dennis. They live in Barrie, Ontario, and, like so many others, were on holiday in Florida to get away from the winter weather. Greg and Catherine figured out that the last time they saw each other must have been at Greg's Sister Lynn's wedding in Timmins almost 21 years ago! Once again, we're reminded of what a wonderful tool the internet is for reconnecting! We enjoyed an afternoon at a little restaurant by the shores of the Gulf in Hudson, Florida, managed to take a few pictures, (See Pictures 1-3)and then drove back to Pat's Place in Webster, where we still had the "house" parked.
Grabbed a picture of another beautiful sunset (Picture #4)on our last night in Webster, shared another dinner and bottle of wine, played our last Actual Scrabble game, reminisced with Pat about all the great music we'd enjoyed while at her place (besides the jam sessions at the Oasis on Thursdays, there had been a couple more small gatherings at her house which we were lucky enough to experience), and packed up the motorhome for the move back to our Thousand Trails Park in the Orlando area. With promises to keep in touch with our new-found Online Scrabble games at http://www.thepixiepit.co.uk/scrabble/, and to come back and visit on future jaunts, we said our good-byes, knowing how much we'll miss the personal reconnection of these past couple of months.
We moved back to our park in the Orlando/Clermont area with plans to meet up with Rose's old friend Penny, who lives in Rochester, Michigan. Penny and her husband Dave fly down to Florida to drive her folks' van back up to Michigan after their winter stay. We hadn't seen each other in almost three years, so it was once again fun to reconnect. We had lunch with Penny and Dave, Penny's Dad, George, and Penny's son Brian, who has recently moved down to Winter Park and is working at Full Sail College, an entertainment and media-oriented school.
