I can't help but say it constantly: it's so pretty. I find that I've been taking lots of pictures of buildings and streetscapes, and Prague is perfect for that. Cobblestone streets and lanterns.... aaah, so pretty.

Passing through Slovakia into Czech we had some heavy rain, but weather is fine in Prague, a bit chilly but fine. The hotel is a bit out of the city but absolutely huge. I can do star jumps in my room and not hit the walls!

Had a fun dinner in restaurant with questionable cartoons on the wall. Didn't need to understand Czech to know that they were of rather bad taste. Very strange. Then most of us went home together, so you can imagine 20+ tourists navigating public transport together on a cold night out.

The day was spent wandering and getting lost in the city. As one of the only cities that wasn't bombed during WWII, lots of buildings and places are all original from ages ago (me, the history buff...). Some amazing churches and palaces, and the Charles Bridge whose significance now slips my mind. Got picked up by an Italian on the Charles Bridge - fancy that? In Prague! What a laugh...!

Lots of shopping - things are cheap here, especially food. Wine the night before cost 35 Krouns, which is about 1 euro. Definitely one of my favourite cities already
