I spoke with Daniel over the morning break and he's excited for us both coming in August. We've got the bed together and he's taken the week off work. Keen to be there with my favourite bean; that's you!

After chatting with you I headed for a weekday market which I found using a new French Ap I downloaded today. It's called "Keys to the Fleas" and claimed to be the essential guide to flea markets through Paris. Thankfully it wasn't expensive because it's not so great and doesn't offer much outside of what can be readily found on google. The two markets I got to today were a little disappointing, but I have high hopes for two I've got pegged to tackle over the weekend. Once giving up on the markets I found myself right near the Eiffel Tower, so I decided to do my study for the afternoon on the lawn in front of it; I had fun listening to Angus and Julia Stone and getting to occasionally look up and be confronted with such a grand French icon.

I thought longingly of you a lot whilst I stood and lay there with the beacon of the city and I look forward to going with you again someday. It's quite a powerful feeling of strength being so close to such a historic structure.

I got that feeling just from glimpsing the massive structure from the train those times. I feel like I haven't truly seen Paris until I have stood next to the Eiffel Tower. We will have the picnic overlooking the tower that I have dreamed of since I was a boy... I am in a little disbelief that we didn't do that when we were there. But it just means that we will have to return!
