The Barge Inn in the village of Honey Street is an English hub for crop-circle tracking in the the neighbouring countryside. Disappointingly lacking in information on the individual crop circles, but a fairly extensive list and mapped-out guide to the year's discoveries. It was a quiet inn on the bank of one of the canals in south England with only a very small gathering of locals when we passed through. I jotted down some farms with current crop circles and hopefully on our adventures we'll be taken close to one for some further investigation.

Ian tells a story of when he and Carol first moved from South Africa to England; they had just moved onto a small farm close to crop circle reports. He was woken one night by a loud and mysterious bang and found that there were lights coming through the window and dancing across the ceiling. He assumed he was being burgled and so stayed silent, reassured of their safety by the strength of their secured and bolted bedroom door. Come morning, Ian discovered that there had been no break-in but that burnt into the grass was the distinctly recognisable shape of Africa. He was missing his homeland and saw this as a symbol that Africa would always be a part of him, but that it was time to call this new country his home. He believes that there was something other-worldly out there that night and feels that amongst all the hoaxes reported as mysterious crop circles or ufo sightings, there could also be a genuine few.

Okay, I think that is a lovely story, with some sort of energy or being offering guidance and support to Ian, what a nice thing to do.
2. (Yes, I realise that there was no number 1). It would make me SO happy for you to take a photo of or, even better, with crop circles. Ever since I was in primary school I have been fascinated by them, and for you to have seen some in the flesh would make me so happy! I don't care if they're a hoax!
