Stonehenge had a feel of greatness to it. There were druids and other costumed folk come to pay homage to the ancient stones and the lines to enter were ridiculous.

More impressive for me were the fields ablaze in red from the poppies that were growing. We passed these shortly before the turnoff for Stonehenge. They contrasted brilliantly with the other fields of rolling green and along with the blue of the sky and soft white of the clouds the scene seemed one straight from the pages of a book.

I have always wanted to visit the Stonehenge, ever since I was a boy. There's something about their grandeur and their history that I want to experience in the flesh. And rolling hills of poppies? Divine.
