After a few stressful days of finding a new place to live, I'm moving in to a huge house tomorrow. Yay! I have the whole house almost to myself and will be staying there for the rest of my stay in Colorado.
I don't have much news to share this time, am looking forward to move, and I'm looking forward to my trip to Belize at the end of the month. I'm switching from film to digital and I'm very happy about being able to show you my photos almost instantly. Today I've taken some pics of my good friends in Boulder, Kitty & Squirrel! Enjoy :-) Kitty has become more or less "my cat" while I've been here. I didn't want a cat at first, but he didn't care what I thought, and forced himself on me, so I let him stay inside my apartment (but didn't really feed him) when he wanted to. After a short while it was like we had been living together forever. Kitty is 18 years old (!!!!) so I basically let him do whatever he feels like doing and that is mostly sleeping and resting just like me, so I found us to be compatible after all. I haven't fed him though, since I don't want him to be too attached and he technically has an owner already. I will miss him a lot when I leave.
The squirrels here are funny. They have been around my porch ever since I arrived and I've fed them some walnuts. They love walnuts of course and after a while I was even able to teach them tricks like opening my closed fist containing a walnut by pulling one of my fingers. And I tried to "trick" them, letting them see where I put a walnut and then moving it a couple of times so they'd have to think where to look for it. They seemed to enjoy the exersice as I had 2-3 squirrels waiting for action on my garden furniture every day. I'll miss the squirrels too.... But I have to leave, there is no other option as a new tenant is moving in tomorrow.
