I woke up to two deers looking at me from the porch of my sister's house this morning. In just my underwear and the covers I quickly gathered my camera and ran outside to shoot them, but they ran too fast and the photos were blurred. Luckily not many people are out and about in my sister's neighbourhood. I'm sure if I had any spectators they'd be very surprised to look at a half naked crazy woman with a huge camera trying to take photos of two terrified deers running fast in the opposite direction...
I wanted to ski and there's a small slope in Selbu. As I was approaching the slope, I met another driver who wasn't very polite (not yielding on the narrow road) so I ended up getting stuck in the deep snow. I had to call my sister for help and it took exactly 6 minutes before a farmer with a tractor showed up and pulled me out. He was the nicest guy and tried to made me not feel extremely stupid for getting stuck in the snow, and said it happened all the time. (As if!)
A few hours later we experienced what Selbu has to offer at night. We went to a cabaret which was funny (but the jokes and the humour was kind of local so as an outsider you won't get it all.) We went to a pub with live music after, and had a lot of fun there watching people getting very drunk, fighting and drunkdriving....
(All the images in the photo album from Selbu are taken with a tiny digital camera which can fit into the palm of my hand. That's why they are less sharp than my other pics.)
