I was getting a bit restless back in Oslo and felt the need to see some family, so I'm going on a short tour of Norway this month.

I need to know how much my neck can handle before getting back to work after easter this year, and thought it'd be a smart test to drive around the middle of Norway visiting friends and family for a while. I'll be photographing interesting places and will try to ski as much as possible.

I started from Oslo yesterday and drove to my sister in Selbu via Unesco Heritage site Røros. (Bergstaden.) I've never been there before, but the place is absolutely amazing. Most buildings and houses are from the 16th and 17th century and it's a very picturesque place. The church in particular is absolutely stunning. I stopped at Røros for an hour or so to photograph and rest for a bit. One woman even invited me inside her house so I could see how they look like on the inside. I'm very happy that my neck was ok with driving for over 7 hours yesterday. (I was sore and wouldn't have minded another driver with me, but I managed and that's the main point of course.)


I'll be going to Trondheim, Oppdal, Ålesund and Stranda next week, stay tuned!
