Arrived in MSP on time! Yeah. It is kind of cloudy. Luggage all arrived and it came quickly. Another plus. We rented with National and I'm Emerald Club, so we got to skip the line at the car rental. We had a compact car, but it fit all 4 bags plus some more stuff. We have a little Toyato Yaris.
Well, let me just say travelling with my family is tough on my nerves. They don't listen to anything! The would never survive Port au Prince, Haiti. It really aggrevates me when they don't listen to me. This has been going on since I was 5. I remember my family, just going in circles trying to get to this one hotel. I kept telling them to turn down this service road, but no one would listen. So we kept circling, maybe for 30 minutes.
I understand them not listening back then since I was only 5, but I'm a lot older now and I'm the one who travels all the time. Just follow directions and don't go wandering off! Don't worry, they know I'm writing it. We've turned it into a joke so I don't get totally frustrated and kill someone. But this might be a very long trip. We also started keeping a list of all the towns we are going through and their population. Independence is winning as the smallest thus far... population 362.
I like the hotel even if they don't have an elevator. The desk clerks helped us get the bags up the stairs. The indoor pool has both a water slide and also water basketball. Isaiah and I are looking forward to checking out both. We also have a beachball, a Wal-mart yellow smiley one. We'll take that with us when we head out to SD. I made sure that I booked hotels with pools. We are going to relive the trip that I took with his dad, my brother, almost 24 years ago. And we always had a pool, each hotel. How else were you going to entertain a 13, 12, and 6 year old at night? So Isaiah and I will have the beach ball to play with each night.
Well it is about time to head to out to the farm. Will write more soon.
BTW... my hands are still burning, even with the antibiotic and bandaids. Hopefully I will get photos at the farm.
I hear we are having cake tonight for someone's birthday... :-D
