wow! what a day we've had. Waking up to the cool sea breeze and warm air was a nice change from being inland. We are at Bahia Honda, Forida Keys. After a rushed shower we headed off to West  Key, which is at the tip of Florida Keys we got back on the road, still driving on the overseas highway. We finally got at the tip of Florida Keys……well after looking for somewhere to get lunch… time Sandie,  DON'T DRIVE US THROUGH THE BACKSTREETS!!!!.

We decided to visit the beach that afternoon, since it would be our last swim for a while, but hopes dashed, for the beach patrol had advised us not to swim due to jelly fish…….oh… :(……But…… you must remember that we are aussienutz and aussienutz do not fear jelly fish….so, off we went, and I'm glad we did, because the beach was spectacular. It felt like you were in one of those photos in the Carribean Islands…….The water was beautiful, the trees were beautiful, the sun was out, and the pebbles on the beach hurt my feet.

After taking a few family shots, we jumped straight for the water. Julia & Anna (as usual) were a bit hesitant at first but jumped in like the rest of us. After a while of taking photos, swimming, throwing rocks & sand, and getting sore feet from the pebbles, Mum thought that we should get on the road, BUT, there was a fort called Zachary Taylor Fort that was close by. So, off all 9 aussienutz went to visit the fort. The fort had been used against the Spanish years ago. After taking photos & viewing the magnificent scenery we ran back to the RV because we have a 8 hours of driving to do (from Key West to Titusville) and by leaving at 5 pm, we're going to get there at 1 in the morning.

So we did. We reached our destination at 1 am in the morning. Dad had persevered through that long foggy night……That's a change :D
