From here we ambled off on the trail seeking out kinkajus, armadillos and exotic birds. Ha, we saw clouds. White, puffy, watery ones. By the end of the eighth bridge the kids were happy for a 'Caliente Chocolate' and myself a good cup of Costa Rican ‘café con leche, por favor’.
Back to Monteverde where the sun was now shining.
Mcafeain this morning and it did not look like it was going to stop. This area may be great for its lack of mosquito's but the downside is that it is raining a great deal. So we left with our Argos water jackets (oh yes the professionals) and after a few minutes we agreed that we were not going to last two minutes in this weather let alone a 2 mile trail through the park. So we purchased some of the Harry Potter capes and set off. Our first trip was to the Reptile and Amphibian exhibition and even though we have been to many of these places we never tire of learning which snakes are venomous and how far they are into the forest. It was a reality check when one of the eyelash vipers had had enough of us taking photos and lunged forward with great speed and hit the glass window.
