En route we spotted another (but larger and luxurious) RV with a group standing outside drinking wine. We were introduced to our fellow guests and identified that one family (the RV drivers) were from the UK "where from" (always the first question) “London” “oh where” (second question if familiar or connected to London), “Wandsworth” “never, where do you live” and then we find out that we are with Tim and Elizabeth Green who used to live on Frewin Road and whose children went to Finton House
Our log cabin was spacious, comfortable and clean. Everything laid on with a view of the valley and the horses. We freshened up and started to unpack the RV and then it was dinner and a chance to find out who the Green’s knew that we knew and meet our other guests, a lovely couple from Philly called Siggy and Nancy who we have nicknamed Sid and Nancy.
We were invited to a campfire, the kids were cooking smores (called smores from the term “do you want somemore – s’mores) This is a gooey cocktail of charcoaled marshmellows with a layer of chocolate wedged between two sweet biscuits - great for the kids as they roasted their own marshmellows on twigs. Fun evening finishing with us all crashing into the crisp linen and soft mattress after a warm, clean shower with crisp towels (things we used to take for granted.
