our first night in Franz was spend beside one of the most amzing lakes. and we were pleasured with a beautiful sun set, and evening. Corny i hear you all saying into you computer screens. but check the pictures out, it looks like something out of a magazine.
Were booked onto a full 8 hour glacier trek tomorrow. Venturing up the Franz Joseph Glacier, aptly named i reckon. so will let you know how it all went soon. More thumbnails ...

Hi Matt ! Thanks for mail. NZ appears to be giving you the best of all worlds ( especially temp wise ! )Will really be intrigued with results of glacier trek Try Scotch with ice-water...great ! Hope your budget holds, lots of places to reach yet ? Honky camper ? Yeh ! Thinking of you, take care.
