Folks,
Pattani family is starting their sabbatical travel on Nov 29th. Wanted to share our iteniary with you:
Malyasia & Thailand (Dec 1st - Dec 14th):
01.12.2008 - MONDAY - Portland - KL
Arrive Kuala Lampur (KL) at 12.40 pm. See the Blue Mosque. In the afternoon visit Thean Hau Temple (Chinese Temple) and Chinatown (Petaling Street).
02.12.2008 - TUESDAY - KL - LANGKAWI
Take Air Asia flight AK 6302 departing from LCC Terminal at 10.20 am. Arrive Langkawi at 11.20 am. Beach Resort.
04.12.2008 - THURSDAY - LANGKAWI - KL - SEREMBAN (B)
Air Asia flight AK 6307 depart at 5.35 pm back to KL
05.12.2008 - FRIDAY - SEREMBAN - MALACCA - SEREMBAN
Day trip to Malacca.
06.12.2008 - SATURDAY - SEREMBAN - KL - BANGKOK (L / D)
Take Air Asia flight FD 3572 departing from LCC Terminal at 10.40 am. Arrive Bangkok at 11.40 am. Half day city tour to visit Chaophaya River Tour, 4 Face Buddha, Wat Arun, Gems Gallery with 1 way transfer to MBK Shopping market or back to hotel.
07.12.2008 - SUNDAY - BANGKOK- AYUTTHAYA (B)
Otional day trip to Ayutthaya, the world heritage city. It is also the Ancient Capital City of Thailand.
08.12.2008 - MONDAY - BANGKOK - KANCHANABURI (B)
Day trip to Kanchanaburi. Visit Bridge Over The River Kwai, cemetery of allied prisoners of war, JEATH War Museum, Tiger Temple in the dimension of Tiger Island Project and then hug a Tiger.
09.12.2008.1 - TUESDAY - BANGKOK - CHIANGMAI ( B / L / D)
After breakfast transfer to the airport for Air Asia flight FD 3238 departing at 10.55 am to the 2nd largest city in Thailand, Chiangmai. Arrive Chiangmai at 12.00 noon. Visit Doi Suthep Temple, which is 1,056 meter above sea level. Khantoke Dinner & Cultural Dance Show will be served.
10.12.2008 - WEDNESDAY - CHANGMAI (B / L / D)
After breakfast, visit Elephant Camp. In the camp, there will be an elephant show. There are also elephants for you to ride. After lunch, continue to visit Orchid Farm. On display are a profusion of blooms of all varieties, shapes, colors and process, from a few baht for the common strains to a few hundred thousand for the rare and exotic species. After that, proceed to visit Royal Flora Garden to enjoy beautiful landscape and the collection of flora & plants, especially rare and endangered of native flora. After lunch, proceed to visit the local handicraft centre such as silt, cotton, jewellery, woodcarving and silverware. Dinner will be served at local restaurant.
11.12.2008 - THURSDAY - CHIANGMAI - CHIANGRAI (B/ L / D)
This morning visit the Hot Spring where you can experience a natural phenomenon and afterwards to Golden Triangle where the three countries Thailand, Burma and Laos meet and divided by Mekong River. Proceed to visit Maesai for shopping for some Myanmar goodies. Next, visit to the new tourist attraction, Wat Rong Khun, The White Temple, also known as Taj Mahal of Thailand, for its beautiful painting and architecture. Lunch and dinner will be served in local restaurant.
12.12.2008 - FRIDAY - CHIANGMAI - KL (B)
After breakfast, free transfer to the airport for your Air Asia flight AK 897 departing at 11.05 am back to KL. Arrive KL at 2.50 pm. After dinner proceed to visit firefly colony in Kuala Selangor.
13.12.2008 - SATURDAY - KL
Visit firends
14.12.2008 - SUNDAY - KL - Australia
Leave for KLIA at 3.45 pm from the house. Flight departs at 6.45 pm.
Australia (Dec 15 - Dec 28)
Dec 15th Monday Arrive in Melbourne
Arrive in Melbourne on Cathay Pacific flight CX 0105 from Adelaide at 2:05 PM. Kalyani has first cousin in Melbourne and we will stay with Saku, Puvi and Tanuja. Lot of things planned including visit to Philip Island. Kiran will go to Australia with us while Varun will join us on Thursday
Dec 20th Saturday Travel to Sydney
Travel on Jetstar flight JQ 610 from Mebourne-Avalon (12:10 PM) to arrive in Sydney at 13:30. We will be staying with Mohan's friend Rosie Ch'ng. Lot of things planned but will update later.
Dec 23rd Tuesday Travel to Cairns
Travel on Virgin Blue flight DJ 397 from Sydney (19:35) to Cairns (21:45). We will staying at Beach Resort hotel on Trinity Beach. Going to Great Barrier Reff cruise on Dec 24th. CHRISTMAS on Trinity Beach!! We will see if we can also take a trip to Rainforest.
Dec 26th Friday Travel to Brisbane
Travel on Virgin Blue flight DJ780 from Cairns (16:25) to Brisbane (18:30). We hope to visit Steve Irvwin "Crocodile Hunter" Australia Zoo.
Dec 28th Sunday Travel to Colombo, SriLanka
Travel on Cathay Pacifc flight CX 0156 at 12:50 AM. Arrive in Sri Lanka on Cathat Pacific flight CX 0703 from Bangkok at 11:50 PM.
Sri Lanka (Dec 28 - Jan 11)
Relax and enjoy. Celebrate New Year's in Colombo. Varun and Kiran depart on Jan 5th.
