Hello again!

On Thursday Kelly and I arrived in Vienna .  The city feels much larger than Prague. The buildings and architecture are very impressive.  Here are just a few pictures of some of the buildings. .  We found a cozy little place to sit down and have an afternoon snack-lunch-dinner .  Afterwards, we decided to rent a car for the next day and drive to Salzburg!!  Kelly was definitely up for this trip - her favorite movie of all time was coming to life!  Julie Andrews would be proud.

We got up early and picked up the car near the hotel.  Little did she realize what she would be in for with our weeee little car on the Autobahn.  This was fun, for awhile.  I was getting frustrated when I had the pedal on the floor just to maintain speed up over the hills and the Austrians were blowing by me in the little Smart Cars with big grins on their faces - grrrrr .

We stopped at a town called Melk .  Unbelievable castle along the Danube River , ,  .  We grabbed a quick sandwich and then headed onward.  We fed the squirrels in our car as well for faster pedalling.

Once in Salzburg, we went our Sound of Music tour.  Let me preface this by saying that we took more pictures here than our entire trip combined.  The city, the landscape, buildings were simply awesome.  This town is nestled in the base of the Alps and every time you turned around you could not believe your eyes.  Of course we played the role American tourists to a T and here some photos to prove it. ,

We are off to Budapest.  More to come!!
