The room is lovely with a nice terrace outside with 2 lovely lounge chairs....after the long flights it felt dreamy to lie back on one, close my eyes, feel the warm morning breeze, and listen to the birds singing. This is how every February should be like! We sort of unpacked a bit and took a quick dip in the pool then after a while took a walk down to the beach to explore the grounds.
I suspect the majority of tourists that come to Thailand are looking for a lively experience. This resort is struggling to provide that because it is miles from the nearest commercial district with restaurants and bars. Also the tide goes way out here so i don't imagine the swimming is very good at the beach. It is a perfect spot to get away and relax for a few days, which is what we were looking for after our long flights and time change.
The time change has made our sleeping habits a bit haphazard. I have been here for two days now and both days I ended up sleeping from mid-afternoon until 6-7pm. We have our dinner and then go to bed around midnight. The first night slept until a little after 3 and last night woke up around 4:30. I imagine the pattern will sort itself out or will it? I can tell you that afternoon nap feels pretty good!
