~ When we first got to Cincinnatti airport and Talia was shouting, "Americo!"
~ How Talia was aftraid at first of the escalators in the airport. She would put one foot on and then wait until the last minute to put the other foot on the steps.
~ Claire and Kyla first introduced Talia to balloons and she has been hooked ever since!
~ Claire said that Talia was like Dora and that she speaks Spanish, but that not to worry, she would teach her English!
~ Talia was afraid of the dogs at first. Now she calls them, "Ja-per and Lucy". She wants to see them right when we get home and always says good-bye to them before we leave.
~ How Talia wants to wear her pretty rain boots even though it's sunny out.
~ When we put up our Christmas stockings, Talia decided my boots needed to be hung up as well! I tried to explain that stockings weren't really shoes, but I'm sure she didn't understand.
~ Talia is obessed with gloves and keeping them on so I bought her some new ones with fingers rather than the mittens. She was too worried about losing the mittens and asked us every five seconds to fix them!
~ Uncle Bob came over to take our Christmas picture and all Talia wanted to do was play with Aunt Cheryl! She didn't want to have anything to do with us or get her picture taken!
~ She is learning her ABC's and she skips L,M,N,O and just says, o-o-o-o- P!
~ How she congratulates herself whenever she does something good, even something small. Of course, she shouts it out in Ukrainian. "Malo-dietz"!
~ She teases the dogs with their chew toys. She runs around the house refusing to throw them their toys until one of us tells her to.
~ How she is so friendly with everyone! She hasn't met a person yet that she doesn't like! She wants all the men to throw her around in their arms and she wants to cuddle with all the women.
~Talia's shoe and bracelet obsession! She is always wearing bracelets and even sometimes refuses to take them off before bed. Same thing with the shoes or slippers.
~ Talia is fascinated with Christmas lights, but doesn't really understand what the big deal is about the fat guy in the red suit!
~ Talia has conquered her fear of the bathtub and now sits and plays in the tub, instead of standing and screaming or clawing at the tub like a cat.
~ Talia's favorite food seems to be macaroni and cheese. She gets so excited and shouts, "Mac-a-roni!!!!"
~ Talia conquered her fear of the training potty when she got home and then conquered her fear of the toilet only a week later! Thank goodness! The training potty sang a song everytime she would sit down and she'd say she had to potty just to hear the song!
~ She still gets upset when people leave her- some people she just doesn't think are coming back I guess.
~ How she got her glasses and refused to wear them until mama brought hers out. Then we were both sooooo pretty together that she had to keep them on. She cried when she had to take them off for bed.
Well, that is all that I can think of right now. We have been home for almost a month and it has gone by so quickly! Scott will return to work next week and I will go back right after Christmas. Until then we will keep teaching Talia our American and "Grovetucky" ways!
