Hey everyone -
Well, it's been an interesting couple of days. We spent the first day on the ship, which didn't leave the dock until 8:00 pm. We had a nice dinner, but then things were a little bouncy the first night. Fortunately, that wasn't too much of a problem. On Monday, we woke up about 6:00 am and were in Prince William Sound. I got some really great shots of some glaciers and some wildlife, which i will upload later. After lunch, I had a swedish massage in their spa, which was really nice. I've never done that before.
We then headed out to sea. Let me tell you, that has been an adventure. Here you have me, the old Navy salt, and Tony, the guy who gets motion sickness really easy. Guess who gets sick - ME! I spent most of yesterday afternoon and last night in bed, when I wasn't throwing up. We had 12-18 foot seas and boat was rocking and pitching so hard sometimes you couldn't stand up. I have the coolest video of the ships pool. There were whitecaps on it, and the water was sloshing all over the place.
Anyway, things are better today and we will be entering glacier bay this morning. Hopefully the clouds will break and we will get to see some of the sights. We'll check in again soon!
