We loved our campsite at Hot Springs National Park.  The week flew by quickly with hikes, trips to town and lots of campfires and new friends!

Pulled out Friday and headed to Memphis, TN where we stayed at a state park near downtown and enjoyed oysters @ Pearls Oyster House and later a stroll down Beale Street and fantastic ribs at B.B. Kings.
The following morning, we headed to Cookeville, TN and landed ourselves a very interesting spot at the local Wal-Mart.  Dinner at Crawdaddy's  was excellent  Located just yards from the local stockyard, our dreams were filled with mooing and drag car racing around our coach.  You just can't make this stuff up!  Teenage country boys showing off their trucks and maneuvers on a Saturday night in a Wal-mart parking lot!!
Breakfast at IHOP (Because there were no local breakfast joints??) and then we are off to Gatlinburg, TN.

Beautiful drive through the mountains and then holy smokes we hit Pigeon Forge!  It is like someone bull dozed the entire town and let the city planners of Branson take over!  Yikes!!  Oh well, as soon as you hit the Smoky Mountain National Park things start to look more appealing and little ole Gatlinburg is just as I remember…
Staying in Gatlinburg until Friday morning.  Stay tuned…
