This is going to be a short blog as not a whole lot happened & I think I really documented the best parts already on fb, but I did want to add a bullet to the timeline.  Don't know if you have noticed, but if you scroll down on the blog it shows a timeline under the Table of Contents.  One of the reasons I chose this blog.  That and well, it is FREE!
Rapid City, SD Cabela's became our home for 2 nights.

What a great concept to have RV and horse trailer camping with dump station and horse stalls!  I started looking and it appears that most Cabela's offer this great overnight camping opportunity.  It came to our attention when the Rapid City area Wal-Marts were opposed to overnight parking.
Todd had to work a LOT, so I ventured out and got a lot of shopping done.  I enjoyed the layout of Rapid City and made quick work of acquiring items that we had sort of put on the back burner.  I even got a new dress that caught my eye!  BTW, I LOVE the new styles for kids this year.  Very reminiscent of the mid-late 80's.
Our second day in Rapid City, Todd was able to break away from work long enough for us to do a whirl wind sight seeing tour to Mt. Rushmore, Black Hills NP, Deadwood & Sturgis.  We did get some photos in at Mt. Rushmore a drink in Deadwood and an early dinner in Sturgis, but otherwise we mostly enjoyed the drive on a beautiful day.
The following morning, Todd was back to work and we had to delay our take off for Sioux Falls. About 350 miles across HWY 90 to our destination.  We should have stopped at Wall Drug or even 1880 Town; however, we were just not in the mood for funny pictures or gimmicky tourist souvenirs.  I did get a few photos from the road…
Sioux Falls KOA is located on top of HWY 90!!  The traffic, diesel air brakes, military planes & locomotive horns drill through the day and night during our stay.  Even with both A/C units on most of the time, the noise is very annoying.  What a horrible location for a campground!  No reason to hang outside and even the pool does not allow alcoholic beverages, so that was a no go…  Oh well, I did get some deep cleaning done and Todd continued to work a LOT!
We are checking out today and heading up to White Bear Lake, MN to see some friends for the weekend!  Can't wait to see the WB's!
