Day 161 Baton Rouge Louisiana - Memphis Tennessee.
The planned departure to trek through Mississippi State, to our Pilgrimage to the home of Elvis, began at 9:30am.
The roads through Louisiana were a little rough but not difficult to follow. We stopped about 2 hours along at a Super Wal Mart to have morning tea as well as top up with gas and groceries.
We set off again after a delay because to obtain the latest round of pictures was a big challenge for the photo centre operator.
The disc writer on the machine was not working and for the first time the camera card was deleted before the disc was in hand, after all the other successful transfers, it was felt safe to delete the photos.
Upon returning to the photo centre the technician explained the problem with the transfer, but she continued to work on the problem. Eventually she was successful after going through a lot of trial and error, we walked out with a lot of photos, and a copy on disc. As well we were not charged for the copy because we were patient and didn't get upset. Another win for the good guys!
We proceeded along highway 55, and as soon as we crossed the border it was noted the improvement in the road surface.
With an interchange of drivers and steady progress we found ourselves at the World renowned Heartbreak hotel in an RV park behind this icon.
Tomorrow is Graceland's day! We have immersed ourselves in the brochures and options to live the adventure and journey of Elvis.
There is also a FREE Pink Stretched Limo service available, to pick clients up from their RV site to transfer them to a restaurant for an evening meal and then return after. GEE we might have to check out the menu and give the service some consideration.
