Day 155 Fort Myers - St Petersburg - Crystal River Florida
We set off to travel the slower route with the hope we may get a glimpse of the water, also it was time to stock the groceries again.  Yep we eat on the way and the groceries require topping off about once a week. A note here though, we noticed today to buy meat, fruit, and groceries for the three of us for a week at a super Wal Mart, is cheaper than Karon & ricks weekly bill. It is those little things that make the trip interesting and affordable for us to enjoy.
After our morning tea in the Wal Mart Car park (we are regular at that one) we chose to take the freeway as well as the toll ways to speed up the journey, because we certainly were not viewing any beaches or water and handling traffic and stop start of traffic lights was a bit painful.
So onto the free way we head and make good time, Karon directed us off for lunch at an "information centre" yeah sure it "happened to be a large group of Factory outlets!"
Did she know?  She was a good girl and we did have lunch and it was a bit of a tease for Karon, but being a good sport she didn't complain that we didn't look around.
We re- joined the freeway and found the tollway, (a $1 per 20 miles) and headed north, a great drive and no challenges, also we managed to cross another huge series of bridges, (one being 3 miles long) and looking both ways over the Tampa bay we spotted another set of bridges in a distance both sides. Certainly no skimping of bridge building in this country, yet with the amount of traffic flowing at any one time, it requires a great system; we certainly appreciate the system for sure.
We tracked our way to our present location, it is an RV resort with a lot of space and we are not sure how many are here, we certainly have no one around us. the net connection is great as well and made it easy to load photos, (at last yes Marian we heard!)
We plan to keep heading north it may still take another day to finish the transit of Florida, from there we know we head west and towards Los Angeles, a couple of spots picked before we go too far. One New Orleans and Baton Rouge as well, (look out Bob and Kathy we are close! )
We will update you as we go, hope you enjoy the photos, some extremely late, with a few more to go.
