The plan for today was to head into the city of Orlando to check it out, mainly to find out what is in this area beside theme Parks.
Setting Mandy to the Post Office to the city centre appeared a good option, the instructions were easily to follow, and we arrived in the city within about 30 mins.
Well certainly not a high rise city and the Post Office was in a low small building like a neighbourhood shop. We drove along what was a direction to the town centre and found a lake system, and a one way road system. It was Friday and we were surprised and the lack of any activity happening within the city.
Yes we found a few high rise buildings and some places we would not enjoy having a break down of a vehicle, also we couldn't find a park near a Starbucks, (mind you we only spotted one!) so it was decided that this city didn't have any bus about tours nor anything to hold our interest, we reset Mandy to take us home.
We arrived back, made our own cuppa, re-assessed our day. Karon convinced Earnie to visit the local JC Penny's because of the wonderful deals (up to 75% off), they headed off and Rick played with checking bank accounts and computer stuff as well as began drafting an advertisement for the Castle. Yes is time to go down that path.
Earnie arrived back in the Castle looking for heart medication, and two large bags of goodies, he had allowed Karon convince him to purchase. (No kidding! The bargains were honestly irresistible, EG: good quality dress shorts for $4.90. As one example) Karon had booked herself into a nails and Spa shop for some secret woman's business, s the boys had a late lunch and relaxed for the 2 hours we had been instructed to leave, to pick her up.
Time passed and the boys head off to pick Karon up, finding her in amongst racks of clothes with her arms full. She then grabbed Earnie and marched him towards more bargains, We left that store supporting the shareholders with a sizable donation, but happy Travellers with the "stuff" we have to get home somehow! A BIG Reminder To Nicole "Don't forget the trailer"
We arrived home and had a swim and had a washing day turn and cooked roast lamb shanks and vegies for dinner, returned the hire car and have decided to complete our third day in Disney world tomorrow and depending on finish time, either, rebook into this park tomorrow night or head South.
We realize now that we are about 2 days travel from Key West, gee, after that a U-turn and heading back up to head west. So really we are on count down.
We spoke to Earnie tonight on the phone and wished him all the best for Philippa and himself on the wedding day on Monday. Thank you for understanding our inability to be there but as we said, we will be with you in Spirit.
