Day 149 Orlando Florida
Well after very little sleep, with the Low Battery sensor beginning to beep at 3am, only one of the travellers managed to hear it and tune it out, to go back to sleep. Coupled with the beeping sensor and Rick's snoring the other travellers did not have a lot of chance to return to slumber land.
First up on the agenda after breakfast was to remove the Converter from its hiding place,(under the bed, and of course one has to be a contortionist, to be able to access these boxes. We have a skilled operator, so it was left to him to achieve the result we required.
To charge up the battery the Castle took to the road towards the nearest Camping World, where they carry RV parts and do service and repairs. Heading into the store, and placing the offending part on the counter, the guy behind the counter simply stated it is a XXXX, In response to the question about repairs, a negative response to the inquiry simply meant purchase a new box. At a cost of $229 it was not hard to understand the "replace with new" policy, and a new box was put on the counter and away we went.
Headed back to the KOA park and had a cuppa and Earnie suggested he spend time replacing and fixing the Castle while Karon & Rick took in the shopping trip that had been planned.
Well Karon required no encouragement and Rick having trouble knowing the difference between a left or right handed screw driver felt it was a good option as well.
A great day was had by all, as we had tired ourselves with Theme parks and education about space etc , Earnie was well occupied in doing what he is well versed and skilled in doing, and Rick simply was the driver and clothes horse and signer for the credit card account as Karon applied herself to flowing from one outlet shop to the next, and then on to the next shopping centre.
All in all a great relaxing day, the Castle has been re-powered correctly and Earnie took time out to tidy some space as well as mop the floor as the others did the serious shopping and some grocery stuff as well.
Wemust thank you all for your continued interest in our fun trip, it still amazes us that so many are still following us and the hit count per day continues to climb.
Yes we are still getting along and enjoying living a dream and hopefully this comes through as we continue taking a look at life as relaxed travellers RV tripping around America.
