Day 125 Plattekill - Kingston - Plattekill
Today was a rest up day and repair day.
We attempted to book the Castle in for a service that was unsuccessful because they are booked out until Wednesday week, we cant wait around that long! We still had not received our Registration plates and were unable to make contact with Long Beach California for three hours. So we drove to an RV store to enable Earnie to purchase a few drawer catch's and locks to replace some that had decided not to complete the trip with us.
While we were at the RV place we checked out what we reckon will be our next RV for a trip such as this. Please note the price of the fifth wheeler at $39,900, we also saw a new caravan larger than Rick and Karon's priced at only $14,000. Why do we pay so much in Aus, is the question we raise in our minds!

A super Wal Mart received a visit to enable the photos to be posted and a small top up with food.
That done and contact made with Long Beach to obtain a tracking number for the Fed Ex parcel with the plates, (we were hoping that Tom Hanks didn't have them on his plane). We discovered the parcel had left the NY depot and were in transit via vehicle.
This sent us back to the KOA to do catch up with the photos on the blog and gave Earnie time to fix the locks and latches.
We sat out on the grassed area relaxing and reading, we observed the Fedex truck arrive, thanks to Earnie finding his way into the KOA workshop and chatting with one of the workers we have now become legal with plates either end of the Castle. MMM is this good or bad, now we will get tracked to catch up with the toll ways or even might have to stay within the speed limits.
We had a wonderful call and visual hook up with Nicole and Emily, EXCEPT Nicole had checked up with our return dates and has informed us we leave the USA on the 20th of November not the 22nd as we had become to believe.
Gee how mean is she, pinching 2 days off us?
While sitting here we observed what is called a rollotel, it is a bus with bunk or cubicle sections for the passengers to sleep in and half the bus as seats.
A good link up phone call from Marian with her usual check in day, still keeping an eye on her fellow ex-travellers.
Never mind tomorrow we will head on out, first stop is WestPoint the USA military academy and contains a lot of history pertaining to this country's military. Then from there to Philadelphia we guess. Most likely only a couple days away from Washington DC, look out Karisue we are coming, and thanks for the phone call today.
