A quick consultation after breakfast and away we head, the destination was towards Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes. The distance on the map suggested it wouldn't be too far even though it is crossing a state line and across to the other side of Wisconsin.
We set Mandy to take the freeways this time because we were a little tired of the endless fields of corn etc, Mandy did well and circumvented the twin cities of Minneapolis and St Paul and took us across the Mississippi, the Minnesota, The Fox and St Croix rivers.
Gee and the freeway managed to take us past more corn and fields, but this time it was broken with a few trees and smaller lots from our view.
We stopped off at the travel information centre in the New state of Wisconsin and again we are happy with the assistance and information supplied by ever helpful staff, we certainly recommend this avenue of information and suggestions to allow options for tourist stuff to do.
They cater for everything and allow you maps and booklets, this woman packed us a small plastic bag of booklets (we are sifting through now) including a small plastic magnifier to assist us read the road map.
We had a great run across this state and are now situated in a Mariner RV park next to Lake Michigan, how cool is that? We have consulted the books and brochures and will most likely have a tourist drive around the "Finger" as it is called or the Peninsular that sticks out in into lake Michigan, the small town we are in is called Two Rivers and again like most places has retained a lot of the historical charm as we have noticed amongst a lot of small American communities.
We are really packing so much into our trip and know that the Blog will assist us upon our return home to enable us to revisit places, times and situations as our memories become blurred.
