Day 92 Belvidere - Fort Thompson
A relaxed sleep, no m/bikes, no trains and we watched a movie until late, it is surreal at times, we were at the Forestry visitors centre and speaking to the ranger and he mentioned a movie called "Quigley Down Under" nope we hadn't seen it!
Then last night it was on Television. How cool is that?
Well we set sail still at around 9:30am and chose back roads and scenic routes to our present location.
The back roads gave us more farmland with acres and acres of hay cut and stored in big round bales, with some glimpses of huge corn/maize paddocks as well as some paddocks of sunflowers,  It appears to be mainly cattle country.
We managed to find our way to Pierre, an area where the movie "Dancing with the Wolves" was filmed, the capitol of South Dakota, not a great big city by any stretch of the imagination, yet a wonderful park for us to have lunch in and paddle our feet in the Mighty Missouri river The Badlands
The Badlands
. Yes we crossed that river we have all heard about, gee we keep finding places we have only ever heard about, fun isn't it?
We reset Mandy to take us to our present location a small place in an Indian reservation called Fort Thompson, Well we found it and decided to locate ourselves in a State park beside the water that is below a damn. The area is a recreational area with power hook-ups but no water, but the washrooms are adequate with good hot showers and toilets, not bad for a cost of $14.
We have no internet connections but never mind you guys know we do our best to keep up and you will catch up as soon as we obtain internet again.
We are still heading East and most likely will cross into Minnesota tomorrow, another state and more to explore.
We have crossed another time zone and Karon is complaining about "them pinching another hour off her"
No matter how it is pointed out that she was given a whole day when we arrived, her complaint about losing the odd hour stands as far as she is concerned. Go figure!
